Batman V. Superman to be long, so very long
The run time has been revealed for Zack Snyder’s Batman V. Superman: Dawn Of Justice, and to the surprise of approximately nobody, it’s going to be a long one. According to Variety, AMC Theaters has revealed that Batman and Superman will face off for two hours and 31 minutes, three minutes longer than Snyder’s Man Of Steel. Snyder isn’t exactly known for his brevity: Watchmen clocked in at 12 minutes longer than the upcoming Batman V. Superman, and the extended version released on the DVD was a three-and-a-half-hour affair. (At least Snyder kept Sucker Punch to under two hours of suck.) At an hour and 46 minutes, Tim Miller’s Deadpool proves that it is possible to make a superhero movie that doesn’t break the two-hour mark, but Snyder has made it very clear that his superhero movie isn’t like other superhero movies. We’re already dreading the four-hour extended cut Warner Bros. is inevitably going to include on the DVD.
Batman V. Superman opens worldwide on March 25.
