Beach House announces a new album and tour
Beach House, the band that delivers either beautifully languorous pop or sleep-inducing boredom depending on your point of view, has a new record on the horizon. Depression Cherry, the group’s fifth album, is coming out August 28 on Sub Pop, and although the album won’t produce a sea change in the band’s sound, there will be a marked reduction of live drums this time around, the better to emphasize the simple melodies that are a hallmark of Beach House’s ethereal songs.
To celebrate the release, the band is launching a North American and European tour, a four-month stint stretching from August 18 to December 18, 2015. The dates are listed below, though ticket information doesn’t seem to be available yet. But if you’d like to pre-order the album, you can head over to the Sub Pop Mega Mart and do so.
