Beastie Boys to release vocal version of The Mix-Up

From Billboard: While fans wait around, oh, three years or so for the next Beastie Boys album to come out, the trio is working on a new version of their recent instrumental disc The Mix-Up. The difference? This one won't be instrumental. Instead, the Beasties are employing a bunch of guest vocalists to sing over the existing tracks, including M.I.A., Jarvis Cocker, and Lilly Allen–or as Adam Yauch laughingly describes them, "a bunch of British people." Cryptically, Yauch also mentions the possible inclusion of presidential hopeful Barack Obama as a guest vocalist on one song, saying, "Really, the guy drops more science than The Dalai Lama."

Useless factoid learned while "researching" this Newswire post: I totally made that up about Obama.
