Because the day needs more Charlie Sheen news: Charlie Sheen to appear at The Gathering Of The Juggalos

In the latest development in a day chockablock with revelations involving the otherwise demure and press-shy Charlie Sheen, the former sitcom star announced via Twitter today that he will be the latest attraction at the 12th Annual Gathering Of The Juggalos, the annual infamous yearly convention of Insane Clown Posse fans.

Sheen will presumably be doing at the Gathering whatever it is he does for money these days—talking crazy, pretty much—though it remains to be seen how Juggalos will respond to the Good Advice-starring cut-up’s shenanigans. Juggalos can be notoriously harsh on acts they find wanting. Last year they infamously attacked Tila Tequila onstage, then chased her to her trailer. Juggalos are even hard on acts they like: beloved Wu-Tang icon Method Man was hit in the head with a can of beer last year on the closing night of the festival.

The possibility of a Sheen appearance has divided the Juggalo community, which took to YouTube to air out its views when the possibility first arose a few months ago. Sheen’s presence should lend a bit of a surreal air to what is otherwise generally a sober and sedate affair. But he’s not the only odd attraction at the carnivalesque extravaganza: this year’s event in glamorous Cave-In-Rock Illinois will feature everything from a performance by MC Hammer to a Moon Bounce to stand-up comedy from Brian Posehn and wrestling legends like “Rowdy” Roddy Piper. Seriously. Also, giant stars who enjoy money and don’t particularly care where it comes from like Busta Rhymes and Ice Cube will be on hand to entertain the Juggalos. Shit goes down from the 11th to the 14th.
