Behold, the world's worst gender reveal party

On Monday, the U.S. Forest Service released a video showing the exact moment when a family’s gender reveal party resulted in a massive wildfire that ignited roughly 47,000 acres of Arizona grasslands.

It was probably (?) a neat idea when Border Patrol agent Dennis Dickey told his friends and family that he’d reveal their baby’s gender via explosion. Unfortunately, the legal, yet decidedly hazardous, Tannerite set the dry grass in its periphery ablaze. The Sawmill Fire, as it came to be known, drove hundreds of people from their homes and required more than 800 firefighters to extinguish it.

In addition to serving five years of probation, Dickey will pay $220,000 in restitution. In good news, however, the powder trick worked. As you can see in the above video, it’s a boy! Yay?
