In its midseason finale, Disney XD’s Star Wars Rebels teased that Obi-Wan Kenobi is going to play some role in the show’s future, with multiple parties interested in tracking down the Jedi-turned-hermit for their own purposes. Unfortunately for Obi-Wan, one such party is none other than Darth Maul, the pointy Sith Lord who survived his bifurcation in The Phantom Menace and is now looking for revenge. Based on this mid-season trailer for Rebels, it looks like Maul will actually make it to Tatooine, and he’ll just half to visit his pal before he splits. Of course, Obi-Wan is looking a lot more weathered than he did in the Clone Wars days, so Maul just might have a leg up on the old Jedi if the two do start fighting.
Puns aside, this trailer also features some familiar faces from Rogue One, specifically Mon Mothma, a computer-generated Governor Tarkin, and Forest Whitaker’s Saw Gerrera. The show returns to Disney XD on January 7.
