Better Call Saul turns its attention back to Gus

Here’s what’s happening in the world of television for Monday, August 13. All times are Eastern.

Top pick

Better Call Saul (AMC, 9 p.m.): We’ve yet to see the extent of the toll that Chuck’s (Michael McKean) death will take on Jimmy (Bob Odenkirk), but one thing’s for sure: He can’t go back to business as usual. “Breathe” finds the grieving brother looking for work while Kim (Rhea Seehorn) dutifully tries to comfort him. We’d like to think that if he’d been aware of Chuck’s grind, Gus (Giancarlo Esposito) would have given his grudging respect. But the Chicken Man has his own problems and plans, most of them concerning Nacho (Michael Mando). Our own Donna Bowman will be connecting the dots from a safe distance.

Regular coverage

The Venture Bros. (Adult Swim, 12:00 a.m.)

Wild card

Rob Riggle’s Ski Master Academy (SonyCrackle, 3:01 a.m.): If you’ve ever wondered what Ski Patrol would look like on the beach, Rob Riggle’s Ski Master Academy has you covered. In this new streaming series, Riggle teaches a bunch of landlubbers—including Eliza Coupe, Samm Levine, Noël Wells, and Dylan McDer–sorry, Dermot Mulroney—the ways of the watercraft.
