Better yourself and take the “high road,” like Odd Mom Out

Here’s what’s up in the world of TV for Monday, June 20. All times are Eastern.

Top picks

UnREAL (Lifetime, 10 p.m.): First was “War.” Then came “Insurgent.” Now it’s time for “Guerrilla.” (You get what UnREAL’s doing this season, right? Of course you do, you’re smart. And Gwen Ihnat’s reviews are probably pretty helpful.) “Chet’s given permission to produce a more male-oriented version of the show; Quinn targets two vulnerable contestants in hopes of producing a dramatic episode; and Rachel suspects Darius is hiding a secret. Meanwhile, Chet fights for custody of his son.” That is way more Chet than anyone asked for, especially when it comes to the custody of his son. And being given permission to produce a more male-oriented version of the show. Just too much Chet.

Guilt (Freeform, 9 p.m.): The title of the second episode of Guilt is “#AmericanPsycho,” because hashtags make everything hipper. “When a video surfaces of Grace attacking Molly, Stan goes on the offensive to stop the blackmailer.” Listen to your lawyer Stan, Grace. He’s a cool dude. (Also, at least “#TeamLucifer” made sense…)

Odd Mom Out (Bravo, 10 p.m.): Odd Mom Out’s second season premiere, “The High Road,” finds “Jill [dipping] her toe back in the work world by visiting the fashion magazine where she used to work. But her excitement at being welcomed back with open arms is short lived.” Maybe it wouldn’t be so short lived if she just took #TheHighRoad. It’s all about hashtags now, Odd Mom Out.

Premieres and finales

Reign (The CW, 8 p.m.): Reign ends its third season with “Spiders In A Jar.” Ooh, that sounds interesting. “Mary makes a bold move to defend her reign in Scotland, which results in a battle royale with her cousin, Elizabeth. Lola is accused of a heinous crime and suffers the drastic consequences. Meanwhile, back in France, Catherine finds that Charles (guest star Spencer MacPherson) has returned a changed man after paying a price for his mother’s relentless quest for power.” Well, that sounds less interesting than the very concept of spiders in a jar (and how that relates to Reign). We didn’t even get to hear more about the battle royale! Oh well, we’re sure Genevieve Valentine will be able to make it all sound like something.

The Fosters (Freeform, 8 p.m.): The Fosters’ fourth season begins with “Potential Energy” and real-world stress for everyone watching: “Picking up where the season three cliffhanger left off, Callie admits her past relationship with Brandon to her moms. But before Stef and Lena can even process the information, the school goes into a ‘Code Blue’ lockdown when it’s discovered Mariana’s boyfriend Nick showed up with his father’s gun after seeing her kiss her ex-boyfriend Mat.”

The Real Housewives Of Orange County (Bravo, 9 p.m.): The original Real Housewives show returns for it’s 11th season, “When The Ship Hits The Fan.” Wocka wocka. “A sprawling boat party, complete with mounting drama, marks the season 11 premiere. Also: Vicki fights to win the ladies back; Shannon scouts for a family home; and newbie wife Kelly Dodd’s big personality (and loud mouth) stirs up trouble.” We wish these women—and their “sprawling boat party”—all the luck in the world.

Suited (HBO, 9 p.m.): And now for the documentary of the night. Sorry, The Real Housewives Of Orange County, but you do not count. Directed by Jason Benjamin (Carnival Roots) and produced by Lena Dunham and Jenni Konner (some show on HBO): “Suited follows its subjects—clients seeking a personalized experience—into the minimalist office space of Bindle & Keep, a bespoke tailoring company based in Brooklyn that caters to a diverse LGBTQ community and looks beyond the gender binary, creating custom-made suits for gender non-conforming and transgender clients.”

TripTank (Comedy Central, 10 p.m.): TripTank returns tonight for its third season with the episode “Crime Steve Investigation.” And in case you don’t know what TripTank is, let this help you out: “TripTank showcases animated shorts so volatile that they should come with a recommended dosage.” On second thought, we’re pretty sure that helps no one at all. We’re sorry. But yes, TripTank is back.
