Betty White confirmed as SNL host (along with some other chicks)
CNN.com (via People) has confirmed that Betty White will host a special Mother's Day episode of Saturday Night Live on May 8. The unusual gig was inspired by White's appearance in a Super Bowl commercial for Snickers, which may have been funnier than any SNL sketch in recent memory. The 88-year-old former Golden Girl won't go it alone, though: She'll be joined by a gaggle of SNL ladies, including Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, Molly Shannon, Maya Rudolph, Ana Gasteyer, and Rachel Dratch. Perhaps Abe Vigoda will be tapped for a special episode in June.
