Beyoncé may have had her twins and Jay Z may have a new album
It’s been a big weekend for America’s First Family, or at least it seems like it probably has been, since Beyoncé and Jay Z aren’t being very forthcoming with details about big events in their lives and careers. A few days ago, we noted that Jay Z had to miss his induction into the Songwriters Hall Of Fame in New York, which some people claim was because Beyoncé was giving birth to their twins. That was just a rumor at the time, but now everybody in the entertainment industry—like Showbiz 411, for example—is getting confirmation from unnamed sources and mysterious insiders who say that Beyoncé has indeed given birth. Plus, just in case unnamed sources aren’t reliable enough, Beyoncé’s own father actually spilled the beans on Twitter:
Assuming the story is true, Variety notes that we still don’t have any idea what the twins’ genders are. Specific information like that will probably be saved for whenever Beyoncé decides to drop another epic Instagram reveal. Until then, all that’s left for us to do is wait until Beyoncé introduces the world to its new royalty.
Jay Z might have more going on than the birth of his twins, though. Last week, billboards and online ads that said “4:44” began popping up, with internet detectives discovering that the online ads were somehow tied to Jay Z’s premium streaming service Tidal. After that, an ad aired during the NBA Finals that featured Mahershala Ali, Lupita Nyong’o, and Danny Glover, with a message indicating that it had something to do with a partnership between Tidal and Sprint. Now, Variety says that more ads are appearing in Los Angeles, and they specifically list Jay Z’s name along with “4:44” and new addition “6.30.17.”
The clear implication there is that Jay Z will be releasing/announcing a new album at the end of this month, and it will have something to do with Tidal’s partnership with Sprint. Much like with the twins, though, we won’t know more until Jay Z actually says something—or until June 30.
