Bill Burr’s animated Netflix show will premiere in December
A year ago, Netflix ordered Bill Burr’s F Is For Family, an animated sitcom following a family stuck in the ’70s, “a time when you could smack your kid, smoke inside, and bring a gun to the airport.” Now there’s a concrete date for when we’ll see those scenarios, and presumably more, play out: Deadline reports the six-episode series will land on Netflix December 18. Comedian Burr, perhaps best known to TV viewers as Saul Goodman’s henchman that wasn’t Huell on Breaking Bad, announced the news via Twitter with a short preview:
In addition to serving as showrunner and executive producer, Burr voices the lead role of Frank Murphy, the family’s father. Laura Dern is his wife Sue and Justin Long plays their oldest son, Kevin. Joining Burr as executive producers are Simpsons writer Michael Price, Vince Vaughn, and Victoria Vaughn. If the above teaser is any indication, leg humps, crotch kicks, middle fingers, and Redbone’s “Come And Get Your Love” will be featured prominently.
