Bill Hader is Brooklyn Nine-Nine’s new precinct captain
In the Brooklyn Nine-Nine season two finale, Captain Holt (Andre Braugher) left the squad to pursue a career in NYPD’s public relations department, leaving Peralta & Co. leaderless. Now The Wrap reports that the power vacuum will be (temporarily) filled by Bill Hader. Hader’s precinct captain will be introduced in the season three opener, but all we know about him so far is that he will be “efficient.” The character won’t be a permanent replacement for Holt, however, which means Holt could still come back. We suggest a hula hoop-off to determine who will lead the squad.
The Fox show recently added The Good Wife’s Archie Panjabi as Lieutenant Knox, who will reportedly have a crush on Doyle (Joe Lo Truglio). (Hey, stranger things have happened on this show.) Season three of Brooklyn Nine-Nine premieres on September 27.
