Bill Hader, Seth Rogen, and Zach Galifianakis to star in a space comedy
According to The Hollywood Reporter, three of America’s greatest comedic treasures are going to be launched into space so NASA can test the longterm effects of zero gravity on a sense of humor. Alright, that’s not really what’s going on, but Bill Hader, Seth Rogen, and Zach Galifianakis are going to play astronauts in a new comedy from 22 Jump Street writer Rodney Rothman. The project is titled The Something—which is a great name, at least in terms of conveying that the movie is about something—and it will also be Rothman’s directorial debut.
THR says that The Something will be about “a group of male astronauts, who, after being stuck in space for years, come upon another ship.” That’s a nice little setup, but how good the movie is will probably depend on who—or what—is on this other ship. Is it xenomorphs? Is it a group of female astronauts? Or, better yet, is it a group of sexy female xenomorphs? It’s a great mystery either way, so we probably won’t find out until The Something hits theaters (or until they start casting the xenomorphs).
