Bill Nye explained his Superman shaving theory as part of Gillette's "How Does He Shave?" ad campaign, which also features theories from scientific and comic book experts such as filmmaker Kevin Smith and Mythbusters hosts Jamie Hyneman and Adam Savage. Naturally, Nye's theory uses the most scientific thought thanks to his extensive training and experience as a mechanical engineer. He believes that Superman doesn't necessarily need a kryptonite infused razor or strengthened diamond blades to make his face as smooth as a baby's behind.
