Keanu Reeves has been on this earth for 54 magnificent years, and it’s taken human beings exactly that long to properly celebrate him with his very own film festival. KeanuCon is finally upon us courtesy of the folks at Matchbox Cineclub, the independent exhibitor behind Cage-A-Rama (which similarly honored the work of Nicolas Cage). Unfortunately, Americans will have to continue living in a wasteland completely devoid of any reasonable tribute to Keanu Reeves, as Little White Lies reports that the first (and hopefully not last) KeanuCon is taking place at the Centre For Contemporary Art in Glasgow, Scotland.

Over the final weekend in April, KeanuCon will screen various films from Reeves’ long and fascinating career, including lesser-seen gems like Permanent Record and major faves like John Wick (of course) and both Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure and Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey. While Point Break isn’t featured on the lineup, there are several other highlights, such as Man Of Tai Chi (directed by Reeves himself) and Constantine. The pairing of Permanent Record with My Own Private Idaho is particularly inspired. Also listed on the schedule is “Wyld Stallyns live,” which could very well be an impressive cover band—unless Matchbox Cineclub actually managed to get Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter to perform as their Bill & Ted counterparts. In that case, have fun suffering from the worst case of FOMO in recorded history.

You can purchase tickets to KeanuCon, which takes place on April 27 and 28, at the official Matchbox Cineclub website. Full schedule below.
