Billy Corgan to offer "sonic impressions" of some Rumi poems this weekend
Spiritual human being Billy Corgan will debut his “four sonic impressions” on poems by Rumi the Sufi mystic at his Chicago-area coffee shop. The Smashing Pumpkins frontman will perform his musical interpretations of those poems, originally written in Persian, at his Madame Zuzu’s tearoom this Sunday, March 30. It’s free to get in, but attendees will no doubt have to be deep, thoughtful souls who are also not journalists.
The move comes about three weeks after Corgan’s previous tearoom antics, which found the wrestling enthusiast performing an eight-hour interpretation of the Siddhartha.
