Billy Joel temporarily freed from Madison Square Garden to go on tour
Billy Joel will be temporarily sprung from his lifelong Madison Square Garden residency for a lengthy, off-and-on North American tour that will take up most of the next eight months. Joel has announced a scattershot run of dates you can see below, including stops at Chicago’s Wrigley Field and Los Angeles’ Hollywood Bowl. Those days are interspersed with his New York nights, and seem flexible enough that, all things being equal, Joel could even add a few more stops—or maybe he’d rather keep some time open for his Long Island fishing expeditions. After all, he doesn’t really want to push his schedule to extremes.
