Blac Chyna granted restraining order against Rob Kardashian in revenge porn case
Five days after Rob Kardashian unleashed a hateful torrent of posts intended to shame his ex-fiancee Blac Chyna by sharing intimate pictures she had sent him privately—violating California laws against revenge porn in the process—a Los Angeles judge has granted Chyna a restraining order against the minor member of the reality-show dynasty. Chyna appeared in court with her attorney Lisa Bloom, while Kardashian, who didn’t appear in person, was represented by his attorney Robert Shaprio. (Yep, that Robert Shapiro.)
Shapiro told reporters at a press conference held after the hearing that Kardashian has already apologized, “and now we move forward to do one thing and one thing only: whatever’s in the best interest of this child.” Bloom then said that the judge had granted every one of her requests, including preventing Kardashian from contacting Chyna online or posting about her on social media as well as keeping him away from her in real life. “As we have said all along, revenge porn is a form of domestic abuse and a crime in California … We’re just delighted about the victory this morning,” Bloom said.
Chyna, who was reportedly quite pleased with the outcome of the hearing, said to reporters, “I would like first and foremost to thank the judge for giving me the restraining order to protect me,” Chyna said. “Now I’m going to get back to co-parenting Dream.” She does not intend to keep Kardashian away from his daughter, Bloom says, and will have a nanny act as a go-between for visits. Chyna also appeared on Good Morning America this morning, where she said she’s spoken to Rob Kardashian since the incident and that “it’s clear he doesn’t respect me. But even if you don’t respect me, you have to respect the law.”
