Probably Lee’s most mainstream movie since 2006’s Inside Man, BlacKkKlansman is an entertaining showcase of the director’s sensibilities, combining elements from police procedurals and blaxploitation films, while turning the drama of our here and now into crowd-pleasing entertainment.
