Who she is: Blink, a.k.a. Clarice Ferguson
Her power: Blink opens portals that teleport things to different places, which can be used both defensively as an escape route and offensively to redirect attacks and trap opponents behind closed portals.
Her story: Nightcrawler’s absence from the X-Men leaves the team in need of a teleporter, and that’s Blink’s entire role in X-Men: Days Of Future Past. Her portals play a key role in the X-Men’s fights against the Sentinels in the future (and look really cool), but she still dies twice, just like the rest of the mutants tasked with protecting Kitty Pryde while she sends people back in time. The movie undoes both of Blink’s deaths, and while it doesn’t show what happens to her after the big timeline change, at least she isn’t getting killed by giant robots in a dystopian future.

Currently, Blink is: Drifting in limbo following the timeline change in Days Of Future Past. She could show up earlier in the revised continuity, or it could still be decades until she portals into Xavier’s School For Gifted Youngsters.
Where will we see her next? There are no plans for Blink to appear in any future sequels, and with Nightcrawler firmly on the team after X-Men: Apocalypse, the team’s teleporter role is filled for the time being.
