Blur still recording, might tour in 2012

For the past eight months, the members of Blur have been getting together periodically to play and record—which is news considering the band hasn't released an album since 2003's Think Tank. While there doesn't appear to be anything concrete in place in terms of a record in the near future—guitarist Graham Coxon has said it might be "six years" before something comes out—Damon Albarn apparently has "hinted" that Blur might be into playing some shows in 2012, possibly outside the U.K. The news comes courtesy of NME, which doesn't provide a quote from Albarn elaborating on said hint. (There must have been lots of winking and nudging involved.) There's also the matter of Albarn's numerous other musical projects, the most recent being Rocketjuice And The Moon with Flea. But still, a Blur tour at least seems like a possibility at the moment. [via OneThirtyBPM]
