Blur's Damon Albarn, Oasis' Noel Gallagher bury the Britpop hatchet, finally

A mere 16 years after Oasis' Noel Gallagher said he hoped Blur's Damon Albarn would "catch AIDS and die," the duo have made peace. In an interview with Shortlist, Albarn says he'd be happy to collaborate with the onetime brains behind Oasis who's since gone solo. "Well, why not?" Albarn says. "He should come on the Africa Express train [an Albarn-formed music collective] in September." Self-serving, sure, but a nice sentiment all the same.

Albarn went on to say that despite the rather public feud, he "never held anything against [Gallagher], even right in the middle of it. I just kind of admired [Oasis] in a way; that they were better at handling it all than me. They didn’t seem to get too affected by the bullshit." Albarn must not consider crippling cocaine addiction and a very public fallout between the Gallagher brothers as being affected.
