Bob Dylan, Dr. Dre, and Barbra Streisand to have awkward backstage conversation at the Grammys

After all, you can only say so much about the weather and whether you saw Inception. Anyway, last-minute additions to Sunday’s very special day for the music industry: Bob Dylan, Dr. Dre, Mumford And Sons, and Barbra Streisand, who will join forces on a contemporized rendition of Dionne Warwick’s “That’s What Friends Are For.” Oh, we have fun around here. Actually, Dr. Dre will join his one-time protégé Eminem and Adam Levine of Maroon 5, most likely performing the “I Need A Doctor” single from Detox, which already came out like a year ago, and everyone really enjoyed it. Meanwhile, Dylan and Mumford And Sons will join The Avett Brothers for a long-overdue “salute to acoustic music,” one of three planned homages taking place that evening—the others being Mick Jagger and Raphael Saadiq honoring late soul singer Solomon Burke; Jennifer Hudson, Martina McBride, Yolanda Adams, and Florence And The Machine’s Florence Welch doing a medley of Aretha Franklin songs with Christina Aguilera, the melismatic Benedict Arnold who will be flown in from Gitmo for one last chance at redemption; and Kris Kristofferson introducing Barbra Streisand, who will perform a tribute to Barbra Streisand.
