Bob Dylan to release new album this fall

Bob Dylan will release his new album, Tempest, on September 11, which coincides with the 50th anniversary of Dylan’s self-titled debut release. Produced by Dylan himself under his alias Jack Frost, the record marks his 35th outing with Columbia Records, and comprises his first set of original songs since 2009’s Together Through Life.

There’s already been some debate over the title: If it is indeed a Shakespeare reference, is it a sign that this, too, marks the last gasp of Dylan’s prolific output? Or is it a self-referential nod to a more boisterous “Hurricane” to come? Time will tell, obviously. Tempest is available for pre-order on iTunes and Amazon now.
