Bob Mould has been busy reviving Sugar's classic 1992 debut Copper Blue on the road lately with a great band that includes drummer Jon Wurster of Superchunk and bassist Jason Narducy of Telekinesis, and it sounds like old Bob Mould has been rubbing off on new Bob Mould. His new album, Silver Age, is described as "punishingly loud melodically sparkling pop/rock" in the vein that Mould has owned for most of his life. The record comes out Sept. 4 on Merge.
