Bob Odenkirk celebrates Better Call Saul's fifth-season renewal by showing the TCA press corps his butt

Given that it remains the most consistently and critically beloved series on the network’s roster, it’s not entirely shocking to learn that Breaking Bad prequel series Better Call Saul has now been granted a fifth-season renewal order, roughly a week before its fourth was set to premiere. Not only does the series continue to command rave reviews and strong ratings with its exploration of the Albuquerque underworld, but creator Vince Gilligan and star Bob Odenkirk aren’t half-assing their enthusiasm for it, either—something Odenkirk made abundantly clear to the crowd at AMC’s TCA press tour earlier today.

Well, okay: So, technically that (temporary) tattoo of the show’s logo is situated more on Odenkirk’s lower back, but given that we can see his CK’s (and a bit more) peeking out, we’re going to take it as a win. (For whatever a win might mean to you in a situation where a Mr. Show legend half-moons a crowd of entertainment journalists.) Also, if we’re going to get nit-picky, Odenkirk’s brandished upper buttocks were just meant to promote the show’s upcoming fourth-season return date (August 6 in case you somehow missed it). But we can’t deny that it made an impression about his abiding affection for the series.
