Bob Odenkirk is in Greta Gerwig's Little Women
At this point, the cast of Greta Gerwig’s Little Women adaptation is looking so good that it actually makes her look a little greedy. The Ladybird writer/director has already landed Saoirse Ronan, Timothée Chalamet, Meryl Streep, Laura Dern, Florence Pugh, Eliza Scanlon, and Emma Watson (replacing Emma Stone in a classic Emma Swap), and now Deadline is reporting that Bob Odenkirk has joined the cast as well. The story doesn’t say who he’ll be playing, but considering that he’s an adult man and not a little woman, there are really only so many options.
Deadline also notes that this will be a reunion for Odenkirk and Streep, which is a very surprising thing to read if you happen to have forgotten that the two appeared in Steven Spielberg’s The Post. We certainly didn’t forget that, because we’re pop culture professionals and definitely remembered that movie, but it must have been surprising for somebody out there. Either way, good for Odenkirk. That kid’s really going places.
