Bob Odenkirk says there's a new Afghan Whigs record coming
If Bob Odenkirk is to be believed, there’s a new Afghan Whigs album on the horizon. The Mr. Show and Breaking Bad star tweeted earlier today that he’d been hanging out with Whigs frontman Greg Dulli at Sundance, and that Dulli told him there’s a “new Afghan Whigs album coming soon.” If so, it would be the band’s first in 16 years, something that Odenkirk, at least, thinks is “Kickass.”

Back in 2012, the Whigs reunited for All Tomorrow’s Parties and for a relatively limited run of tour dates. Since then, the group has recorded a few covers, including one of Frank Ocean’s “LoveCrimes,” and booked a slot at this year’s Coachella festival.
