Bob’s Burgers is one of the most consistently musical shows around, with almost every episode yielding some new song from Gene’s fart-sampling keyboard or Linda’s inexplicably high confidence in her singing talent. (Sometimes these songs are even then covered by artists with actual singing talent.) So it stands to reason the show would finally get around to releasing an album.
As first hinted at during Comic-Con, a collection of Bob’s Burgers tunes is now on its way to an official release, according to series creator Loren Bouchard, who said during a conference call this week that a deal had been finalized to put something out on iTunes sometime in the fall. According to Zap2It, Bouchard also previewed a new song from the series’ spring run (which kicks off this Sunday), one that may or may not be included on the collection but is definitely “all about farts.” Of course it is.
In the meantime here’s a song that damn well better be on there.
