Boca Raton turns away Fall Out Boy

Citing "security challenges," the city of Boca Raton, Fla., canceled the upcoming concert for the Believers Never Die tour, featuring Fall Out Boy and a slew of middling bands (Cobra Starship, All Time Low, Hey Monday, Metro Station, and, uh, 50 Cent). According a press release from Fall Out Boy's label, Island Def Jam, the city issued the following statement:

“There have been known disturbances associated with one of the bands, 'Fall Out Boy.'  We anticipate that the concert will generate security challenges.”

Disturbances? Like running mascara, frumpy girls screaming themselves hoarse, and lots of black hoodies? Florida gave us death metal and shock-rock clown Marilyn Manson, and they're worried about Fall Out Boy? FOB manager Bob McLynn said the city was basically strong-arming the tour into paying for exorbitant security fees. But emo kids, you can stop cutting yourselves now: The April 21st show has been moved to Pompano Beach Amphitheatre in Pompano Beach, and @petewentz has assured his Twitter followers that all tickets will be honored. Cobra Starship will not be denied!
