BoJack Horseman tries to turn his life around in the trailer for season two

When Netflix viewers last checked in on BoJack Horseman, the washed-up celebrity horse had just made a pledge to turn his broken life around, landing a role in his dream project and attempting to fix his relationships with others. But, as anyone who’s ever been a drug-addicted cartoon horse voiced by Will Arnett will know, pledging to do things is a lot easier than actually doing them.

That’s the theme of the trailer for the show’s second season, which sees all of its characters being forced to deal with the “new” BoJack and his intermittent commitment to being a better horse. Besides returning co-stars Alison Brie, Amy Sedaris, Aaron Paul, and Paul F. Tompkins, the trailer also shows off a new character, with Lisa Kudrow playing an owl who makes the possibly regrettable decision of ending up in BoJack’s bed. (Tragically, there’s no sign of fan favorite Vincent Adultman, but that’s probably just because he’s very busy with his grown-up business transactions at his office place near work.) BoJack Horseman returns to Netflix on July 17.
