Bon Iver cancels tour dates for “personal reasons”
Bon Iver has axed a series of concerts and an appearance on A Prairie Home Companion citing “personal reasons.” The announcement was made in a tweet, in which the band said: “Our deepest apologies to all our fans. We will be back.”
Aside from the Prairie Home Companion performance, which was scheduled to take place in Chicago January 14, the dates affected were all based in Europe. Justin Vernon’s outfit was schedule to begin that extensive leg of the 22, A Million tour in Paris on January 22 and continue through February 20. The album came out back in September, at which point The A.V. Club wrote that its “chaotic direction causes its few stark moments to cut through the clutter that much more sharply.”
According to Pitchfork, Vernon has of yet not scrapped festival performances. Just yesterday it was announced that he would be at Coachella, taking the stage on the same day Beyoncé is headlining.
