Bonnaroo lineup includes Radiohead, The Beach Boys, Bon Iver, Alice Cooper, and yes, Dawes
Celebrating 11 years of dust, dudes who don’t wear shirts for four straight days, and secretly luring people to Tennessee so they can add their bones to bridges, Bonnaroo has revealed the official lineup for its annual festival, taking place June 7 through 10. And once again it’s an eclectic mix that spans multiple decades and genres, but you’re probably only going to talk about Childish Gambino and Dawes. It’s not why you should love that Laurel Canyon Sound, but when… and so on.
Anyway, whenever you get done with that, here are just a few highlights from the rest of the lineup: Radiohead, Bon Iver, the reunited Beach Boys in which every member has to have his individual name listed for some reason but fuck that, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Phish, The Shins, The Avett Brothers, Skrillex, Foster The People, Feist, Mogwai, The Roots, Ben Folds Five, Flogging Molly, Ludacris, tUnE-yArDs, Black Star, Flying Lotus, Mac Miller, Danny Brown, St. Vincent, Bad Brains, The Civil Wars, The Black Lips, The Antlers, Little Dragon, Major Lazer, Kurt Vile, Das Racist, EMA, Battles, Phantogram, Kendrick Lamar, The Joy Formidable, The War On Drugs, Alabama Shakes, and Aziz Ansari. Oh, and did we mention that Alice Cooper is going to be there? He might play “Feed My Frankenstein”! It's about his penis, basically!
