Boy George tumbles into his own reality show

In a move surprising only because it hadn’t already happened, Boy George has signed on to star in a new reality show. The Culture Club singer and his manager are teaming up with Bunim/Murray, producers of The Real World and Keeping Up With The Kardashians, to develop a docuseries based on his upcoming move from London to Los Angeles. In a press release, Boy George says his life is like “If Marge Simpson met Dolly Parton and went dancing with Ziggy Stardust,” though that’s probably simplifying things just a bit. The series won’t start filming until this summer, but will follow George as he goes on dates, shops for houses, tours, manages a pop group, and launches a vegan food line.

As both a solo act and as part of Culture Club, Boy George has sold over 100 million singles and 50 million albums worldwide. He now makes a good portion of his income DJing clubs around the world. He also seems to own a lot of hats.
