Breaking Bad has its highest-rated episode ever

As it turns out, the relentless badgering by friends, coworkers, and pop-culture websites was a success: Last night’s fourth-season premiere of Breaking Bad was the most-watched episode in show history, pulling in an average of 2.6 million viewers—a 30-percent uptick from last year’s third-season debut. That also makes it AMC’s second-highest-rated premiere ever behind The Walking Dead, even outdrawing Mad Men’s fourth season bow by 19 percent. Of course, there are over 300 million people in America, which means that those 2.6 million viewers have a whole lot of “God, you still aren’t watching Breaking Bad???!” comments to make in the coming weeks.
