Breaking Bad's Giancarlo Esposito coming to Community, which you still can't see
It’s another day and thus another Community news alert that is not an official notice of the show’s return, and another chance to shoot the messenger before we remind you that we probably won't know anything definite about its future until May. Today we’ve risked riling you just to pass along Vulture’s report that yet another cultishly adored actor, Breaking Bad’s Giancarlo Esposito, will also be dropping through Greendale in a guest-starring arc, playing a “business associate” of Pierce’s late father, Cornelius, who somehow remained a “business associate” despite Cornelius’ impressively encyclopedic racism. Anyway, the recruitment of yet another intriguing guest star for a show you’re still not able to watch suggests yet again that Community wasn’t actually put on hiatus, but rather somehow diverted to another timeline where its cultural cachet is such that it’s a nexus to which all smart and talented people naturally gravitate. Or rather, a timeline where it’s that, but also enough people watch it instead of The Big Bang Theory. How do we break into that timeline?
