Today is the Fourth of July, when we Americans celebrate the day we finally beat England in the hot dog eating contest, making our ragtag misfit country the official kings of summer camp. As such, we won’t be updating Newswire barring any major breaking news or tragic misfortunes we hopefully haven’t willed into existence just by talking about them. However, there’s still plenty of stuff for you to read around here, including new editions of AVQ&A and Staff Picks; the last entry in this week’s patriotic Hear This, written by some windbag; and finally, a Watch This look at two of America’s proudest institutions, Roger Ebert and large breasts.
