Bret McKenzie is developing an animated series for Fox
Bret McKenzie's hair helmet secret project likely hasn't seen much progress lately, as the comedian/musician seems to be pretty busy these days. Not only is he overseeing the music for the upcoming Muppets Most Wanted, and scripting a Labyrinth-like musical comedy with James Bobin, he's also now working on an animated series for Fox. The Flight Of The Conchords member is developing the cartoon—about a group of NASA employees working in an “almost-obsolete” space center in Boulder, Colorado—with his co-executive producers, former King Of The Hill writers Tony Gama-Lobo and Rebecca May. No word yet on whether McKenzie will provide a strongly-Kiwi-accented voice for the as-yet-untitled show.
