Bret Michaels Fall Down Go Boom
You've heard of these things called jukebox musicals, right? They're basically bundles of songs that everyone knows loosely tied together by a flimsy strand of plot. They're tribute bands, but with skits and bad wigs. They're group karaoke. In short, they're the Broadway equivalent of designer sweatpants: Comfy, overpriced, boldly stupid, and elasticized in the waist.
And last night at the Tony Awards, one of these jukebox musicals, Rock Of Ages literally knocked Bret Michaels to the ground.
Behold, the magic of live theater. It's not everyday you get to see Broadway clothesline an aging hair band frontman/walking tumbleweed on television.
