Brian K. Vaughan and Adrian Alphona leaving Runaways

Writer Brian K. Vaughan has announced that he and artist Adrian Alphona will be leaving their Marvel comic book Runaways with issue 24. There's more on this on the forum of Vaughan's site. The short version: There's no creative differences driving them away. It was just time to pass the torch and he'd like the series to carry on.

The story of some kids who discover their parents are supervillains and, well, run away debuted in 2002 and ran for 18 issues. It was then cancelled and subsequently uncancelled. Vaughan was recently the subject of a profile in the New York Times and will soon release a graphic novel set in Iraq entitled The Pride Of Baghdad.
