Brian Wilson is working on a new solo album

Beach Boys front man Brian Wilson is in the process of recording and self-producing his eleventh solo album. Wilson is bringing in countless collaborators for the project, including Jeff Beck, former Beach Boys Al Jardine and David Marks, members of his touring band, and others from Jeff Beck's rhythm section.

Wilson began working on some songs during the Beach Boys' massively successful 50th anniversary tour, and told his family and friends he wants to create something with a rock 'n' roll vibe. "I was really moved by the fans’ excitement about The Beach Boys’ album and tour last year," he said. "It charged me up and my head was full of music—I just couldn’t wait to get back into the studio to let it out.”
