Four years after her death, Brittany Murphy’s final film appearance has announced its theatrical release. The film, Something Wicked, will debut on April 4 in Eugene, Oregon, where it was mostly filmed, according to an update on its Facebook page. The thriller, taglined “Love is a tragedy waiting to happen,” also stars Shantel VanSanten of One Tree Hill and Julian Morris of Pretty Little Liars. The deleted scene from the film below offers a glimpse of Murphy in her final role.
Murphy died of cardiac arrest after a collapse in her Los Angeles home. She was 32. Her death was determined to be the result of a combination of elevated drug levels and a bout of pneumonia; her parents and gossip magazines have since speculated that toxic mold, poisoning by heavy chemicals, or bulimia could have been contributing factors.
