Broadway stars hitch a ride in James Corden’s latest Carpool Karaoke

It was just a matter of time before The Late Late Show segment, Carpool Karaoke, headed to Broadway for a special edition on The Great White Way. After all, host James Corden’s singing talents aren’t relegated to his automobile—he did win a Tony award in 2012 for his performance in One Man, Two Guvnors. And as the host of this year’s Tony awards show, Corden recently decided to take a ride with several Broadway luminaries and breakouts.

Hamilton creator Lin-Manuel Miranda rides shotgun, singing along to one of his own tunes with Corden. Their duet is soon expanded to include six-time Tony winner Audra McDonald and Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt’s Jane Krakowski, who’s no schlub in the theater award department either. They also pick up Modern Family’s Jesse Tyler Ferguson, who’s currently performing in the one-man show, Fully Committed. The quintet takes us home—or rather, to the Beacon Theatre—with a stirring rendition of “One Day More” from Les Misérables.
