Bruce Springsteen, Christina Aguilera, and more pitch in for Hurricane Sandy telethon
NBC is doing its part—beyond just moving The Voice—to help people affected by Hurricane Sandy. The network will host the Hurricane Sandy: Coming Together (yeah… yeah) telethon Friday night at 8 p.m. ET. Featuring performances by Bruce Springsteen, Billy Joel, Jon Bon Jovi, Sting, and Christina Aguilera, the night will be hosted by Today’s Matt Lauer, with appearances from Jimmy Fallon and Brian Williams.
The telethon will be aired simultaneously on the whole NBC family of networks, including Bravo, CNBC, E!, G4, MSNBC, Style, Syfy, and USA, and streamed live on NBC.com. Channels not owned by NBC will also be allowed to broadcast it if they choose. All money collected will go to the American Red Cross.
