Bruce Willis to play bank owner in presumably thrilling action movie
Bruce Willis has thrilled audiences in action classics like Die Hard, Cop Out, and Moonlighting, but his next big project, Marauders, just might be the most thrilling one yet. The film will be directed by Steven C. Miller (Silent Night, Under The Bed) from a script by Michael Cody and Chris Sivertson (the director of Lindsay Lohan’s I Know Who Killed Me), and, according to Deadline, it will center on “an FBI agent” who is “on the trail of bank robbers.” (A classic action movie setup!) The FBI agent is having trouble catching them, though, because the thieves keep giving the money to charity. (An interesting twist!) Eventually, the agent realizes that the threads of this mystery lead to a secret-keeping bank owner, played by none other than Bruce Willis. That’s right; he won’t be the FBI agent, he’ll be some guy who owns a bank. He’ll probably have a tan suit and a mustache. We don’t know about you, but we’re on the edge of our seats already.
Marauders will also star Christopher Meloni and Dave Bautista, with one of them most likely playing the FBI agent. Or, in what would be another welcome twist, maybe they’ll all be bank owners. Maybe this movie is all about the drama that comes from owning a bank. Deadline says it’s an “action thriller,” but we bet owning a bank can get pretty action thrilling.
