Bug Juice says farewell to Camp Waziyatah all over again

Here’s what’s happening in the world of television for Thursday, August 9. All times are Eastern.

Top pick

Bug Juice: My Adventures At Camp (Disney, 7:30 p.m.): Twenty years after the Disney Channel broke new ground in kids’ TV with the summer camp reality series Bug Juice, the cameras went back to where it all started to film a new season of outdoor activities, arts and crafts (or, as Alan Shemper and his friends used to call it, arts and farts and crafts), and warm fuzzies—outfitted with modern-day accoutrements like “animated emoticons” and “onscreen memes” for modern-day kids. It all wraps up tonight, with a season finale that sees the kids toasting summer’s end at a camp banquet. Seize the day, Camp Waziyatah, because it’s your last.

Regular coverage

Trial & Error (NBC, 9 and 9:30 p.m.)

Wild card

When The Beat Drops (Logo, 8 p.m.): After introducing the Sundance Film Festival to the wonderful world of bucking, this documentary from RuPaul’s Drag Race producers World Of Wonder drops on Logo.
