Hailee Steinfeld is already attached to star in the Bumblebee-centric Transformers spin-off, but The Hollywood Reporter says she won’t be the only human getting in Bee’s way while he tries to do cool robot stuff. Steinfeld will be joined by relative newcomer Jorge Lendeborg Jr., who recently appeared in Spider-Man: Homecoming and has some role in the upcoming Alita: Battle Angel. We don’t know who Lendeborg will be playing in the movie, but we know that Steinfeld is “a tomboy who also holds a job as a mechanic after school,” so he’ll probably just be one of her classmates or a fellow mechanic.
Other than that, we know that Bumblebee will be a prequel to the other Transformers movies, that it will be set in the ‘80s, and that it will be directed by Travis Knight, but that’s about it.
