Burger King to sell Whopper Wine in Spain

Here in America, we’re used to getting little surprises with our fast food, whether it’s a crappy toy, a crappy Xbox game, or a set of crappy poisonous Shrek glasses, but Burger King is really stepping it up for the 40th anniversary of its first restaurant in Spain. To mark the occasion, Burger King has teamed up with the hip advertisers at La Despensa Ingredientes Creativos to create “Whopper Wine,” a special bottle of wine that will only be available in Spain’s Burger King locations. That alone will probably make it pretty valuable to hardcore BK fans, but that’s not the only reason we think people will want this. As you can see from the pictures above and below, the Whopper Wine bottle is—as they say in Spain—très chic. Who knew a bottle of alcohol sold at a restaurant staffed exclusively by stoners could look so slick?

Anyway, this has us thinking of other alliterative alcoholic beverages that fast food restaurants could sell. Who wouldn’t love a delicious Doritos Locos Tacos Tequila from Taco Bell? Or maybe some Classic Roast Beef Rum from Arby’s? Spicy Chicken Sandwich Sake from Wendy’s? Sure, they may sound terrible, but so does Whopper Wine. All they need is some nice packaging and we’d be all over these.
