Buy 3 seasons of TV for $30, and fill out your Gilmore Girls collection

In an effort to both serve our readers and help support The A.V. Club, we are going to post daily links to deals and interesting items that we find over on Amazon. If you use these links to click through and buy something—not just the thing you clicked—on Amazon, we will see a portion of that income. You don’t have to do that if you don’t want to, but if you do, know that we appreciate it.

Three DVDs for $13.99 or three Blu-rays for $19.99

If you’re more of a movie person than a TV person, there’s also Amazon’s other great sale, which lets you pick up three DVDs for just $13.99 or three Blu-rays for $19.99. There are over 250 cinematic options, including Beetlejuice, The Goonies, The Shining, The Notebook, A League Of Their Own, The Holiday, and Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, so feel free to go nuts.

Up to 50 percent off Ecco shoes for men and women

Let’s face it: You could use some new, comfortable work shoes. Let Amazon help with that with its one-day sale on Ecco shoes, which are both sharp looking and nice to your feet. Pick up a cap-toed oxford for just $63.50, down from $119.95. A women’s ankle bootie is just $70, down from $129.95, and a men’s retro “fashion sneaker” is just $75, down from $159.95. Check it out and step up your shoe game.

Save up to 35 percent on Purell

One of Amazon’s deals of the day today is a germ-hater’s dream. Save up to 35 percent on a number of Purell products, from two liters of hand sanitizer for $16.40 to an eight-pack of those little bottles of Purell that you can attach to your purse for just $7.89. You can even pick up 125 hand-sanitizer singles for just $11.82, if you’re into clean hands on the go.

Up to 40 percent off Philips wake-up lights ($48.99 and up)

If you’re one of those people who has a hard time waking up in the morning, you might want to consider one of these Philips wake-up lights, which aim to wake you up naturally with gentle sunrise stimulation. There are four different models, each of which has different features, but if you want to opt for the most baseline version, that’ll run you around $48.99 and comes with 10 brightness settings and a tap-to-snooze alarm clock. The most posh option is the $99.99 GoLite BLU energy light, which is less of an alarm clock and more of an environmental substitute, something you can use in the winter to combat seasonal affective disorder. According to the listing, it’s “clinically proven to increase energy levels and mood,” while helping the user to “stay sharp,” something that we could all probably use a little help with.

Bluesmart One smart luggage with battery charger ($403.99, was $449)

Another of Amazon’s deals of the week is on a number of products from start-ups, including this incredible little piece of luggage. It syncs to your phone, which it also charges, allowing your phone to weigh your bag, lock your bag, and even track it with GPS. The future is nuts.

Design-your-own headphones kit ($24.99)

Another of the start-up items is from Seedling, and would be fun for any music-savvy kid. This design-your-own headphones kit comes with blank white headphones, two bottles of paint, and a whole bunch of markers, meaning you can make your own Beats By The A.V. Club, should you so choose. The world is your oyster.

Killer Snails: Assassins Of The Sea ($19.99, was $24.99)

This two- to four-person card game was originally funded on Kickstarter, where it raised 250 percent of its financial goal. It takes 30 to 45 minutes to play and was developed by scientists and educators in collaboration with the American Museum Of Natural History. According to the listing, the game “is a dynamic deck-building game in which the players are scientists on an adventure to build their best deck (hand) by collecting predatory marine cone snails that prey on fish, worms, and other mollusks. Each snail has a unique strength and prey type, and produces a venom cocktail of different peptides. To win the game, players must build a venom arsenal of the peptide combinations selected at the beginning of the game.” That’s awesomely nerdy.
