BuzzFeed made a real life version of Snake

While they didn’t double as a map, or a music player, or a tiny, handheld computer, those old, late-’90s, early-’00s Nokias we all had did have a few things to recommend them. You only had to charge them once or twice a week, they were so durable you could use them as a hockey puck and still make a call afterward, you could change the faceplate to match your outfit, and you could play Snake on them for seemingly days at a time.

Snake, for those who never owned a 3310, was a game that involved getting a line—the titular snake—to chase a dot, which would then join the snake, making it longer and the game harder. It was actually much more fun than it sounds.

The folks at BuzzFeed recreated the weirdly addictive joy of Snake by turning it into a human-sized game using office chairs. They’re not the first people to think of it—pretty much anyone who wasted hours playing Snake in class imagined doing this—but they are the first people to pull it off. Way to live the dream, guys.
